I'd also like to see an attendance update.

For the past two weeks, I've been working with Chinese exchange students ages twelve through sixteen. Only about three or four of them have actually been to Hong Kong Disneyland. Is this a symbol of struggle? Do more adults visit the park than children? Most of them have been to Shanghai, so I'm assuming once Shanghai Disneyland opens, attendance will be great there. What of Hong Kong though?

I think the official figures maybe released on 12 Sept 2013, the park's 8th Anniversary. From history that's what they have been doing.
        Jul 1992: Disneyland Paris
        Apr 2006: Hong Kong Disneyland
Jul 2010: Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure
        Mar 2011: Hong Kong Disneyland
Jul 2013: Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea
        Sep 2013: Hong Kong Disneyland
        Jul 2014: Disney California Adventure

There was a trip report on the web recently and it focused on wait times at the attractions:

Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars: 60 minutes
          Mystic Manor: 45 minutes
          Mickey's Philharmagic: 30 minutes
          It's a Small World: 40 minutes
Winnie the Pooh: 50 minutes (stand-by)
          Space Mountain: 45 minutes
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters: 75 minutes
          RC Racer: 50 minutes
          Dumbo: 50 minutes
          Autopia: 60 minutes

The summer holiday crowd is certainly huge. The hotels are full and they have to turn people away. It is quite impressive, maybe a bit too good even.

Having gone recently myself, this is all true. We wanted to book a room at Dland Hotel as MA members but were declined because of full occupancy. HKDL is certainly on a roll these days.

That's cool. And the Hotels are full is like a sign for a really needed third hotel.

Disney magic brings the crowds in droves - The Standard

HKDL's new vice president of operations Mr. Damien Lee said corporate bookings for Halloween this year are three times those of last year, and he expects visitor admissions for the fiscal year ending September 30 to be a record.

As a result of three new attractions since 2011, during most of the 2013 summer, daily visitors numbered 40,000 - similar to the average visitor numbers during the Lunar New Year, when the park is at its busiest.

                ================================================== =====================

HKDL will announce its attendance figures soon, probably next week. And I expect them to do pretty well. Last year attendance was 6.7million, this year I think they have a chance of surpassing 7million or more.

ORDDU: This is wonderful news. Now they just need to announce--as well as start building--new attractions to keep all those additional guests even happier.

ORWEN: The new night time parade for 2014 will sure help. But new attractions really need to start being added fast!

                  ORGOCH: Got Green lights?
