Have you guys been to Singapore? It seems like every square inch of that place has been planned out and utilized. I can't imagine where they would even put it. Maybe tear down Malaka and put it there?

I have been to Singapore, and Disneyland and the country have one great thing in common: they are usually both devoid of litter.

I can't imagine Singapore squeezing in a DL, and nor have I heard any prior rumours about one being set up there. What prompted this spokesman to refute something that wasn't really an issue?

I think it is just an old tactic used by TWDC.

Remember there were rumors for a Shanghai / Singapore park when TWDC was negotiated with the Hong Kong SAR government for HKDL in 1998. Now TWDC is negotiating with the Shanghai Government for the Shanghai DL, they just need to give some pressure to the Chinese.

Does the tactic work this time? My opinion is not. The failure of HKDL shows that Disney management style just doesn’t work in China (or any overseas markets). What Asian Market needs is a TDL style agreement – let the local owner to operate the park and to create their own marketing and sales strategy. Disney is good in selling creative ideas, but please let the “customer” to decide what they want.

It looks like they are talking about an indoor theme park.

Talks. No talks. What is the deal with all these countries coming out and saying they are setting up negotiations. Singapor? Bejiing? Shanghai? What is going on?
