  • Internet at Mira Costa?

We're leaving for Tokyo tomorrow morning (yay!) and expect to check into the Mira Costa for our Disney days next Monday. It's occured to me that I've just kind of assumed that the Mira Costa has high-speed Internet connections. But when I went to the Web site and checked in the services area, I found no mention. Uh oh. Someone please tell me that they have Internet connections.

Nope. No net access at the MiraCosta unfortunately. However, there are "hot spots" in various locations in Ikspiari.

Ah, too bad. Looks like I'll have to take a field trip to Ikspiari to send back photos. You don't happen to know where those hot spots are, do you?

I had someone tell me recently that nearly every McDonalds in Japan has a hot spot.

Cool, looking forward to it. Too bad we'll just miss each other. I'm going tomorrow and next Sunday. If you ever write a trip report afterwards, I'd love to host it.

Are there any plans to add Internet access in the two Disney hotels? I remember all the "Official Hotels" had Internet connections.

Yes, but you always brag about staying in the luxury hotels jada jada... so why not treat yourself to one of the Official Hotels at TDR. The new Maihama Hotel is rather quaint.

No other hotel can even compare to the Hotel MiraCosta. Internet access is something that I don't look for in a hotel, and I've tried the Hilton Tokyo Bay before already. From now on, it's the Hotel MiraCosta for me whenever I visit the Tokyo Disney Resort. Besides, I never bring my laptop on my Disney trips anyways.

Well... saying "no other" hotel is quite a huge comparison. If you are comparing to Disney's hotels world-wide, YES, Miracosta tops the list as the very best in every way. However, I can think of one or two other non-Disney hotels that I would love to stay with a bigger passion than my desire to stay at the Miracosta.... That one in Dubay, looks like a sail on the water.... for example.

You mean the Burj al Arab? That hotel really is quite impressive, but I like the theme and architecture of the Hotel MiraCosta more. In fact, the Hotel MiraCosta actually cost more to build than the Burj al Arab ($1.1 billion as opposed to $650 million). Considering its size, that's quite unbelievable.

Again... I am not putting the Miracosta down. But simply stating that there are other hotels just as worthy, regardless of the price tag it took to build or how much they charge. While I enjoy the decor of such oppulense as that found at the Miracosta, I also value a tent with a spectacular view over a cliff... you get my drift.

It's just my preference. I admire the theme and design of many other hotels, but the Hotel MiraCosta is just my favorite hotel because of its Italian style opulence. I also love the interior of the Venetian at Las Vegas for the very same reason.
