  • Tai-Fun to hit Tokyo DL/DisneySea?

According to cable TV news, a tai-fun (hurricane) that is literally the size of the Gulf of Mexico is aiming straight at Tokyo. Anyone know how it's affecting the parks?
    thanks -

I hope this won't affect my trip in any way.

I see now why they built a roof over World Bazaar!

Thank god for World Bazaar. Oh, and the covered walkways under the Hotel MiraCosta too.

Typhoons are always overhyped in Japan. They stop the railways so yes you do get trapped but it's not all that bad, you're not going to die. I remember seeing people in TDL on the news and it was for the most part abandoned.

Say that to the families of the 3-4 people who died during this recent typhoon.

Yes, most typhoons do dissipate by the time they reach the Kanto area where TDR is located. But the warning systems and emergency prodecures in place are valuable in notifying the public. That's why you see places like TDR relatively empty during these times.

Is a "tai-fun" fun? or is it the same as a typhoon? Or can you drink it, like a Mai-Tai?

TAI-FUN is just looking for a good old fashioned Disney vacation.
