  • [Question] Suggestion from Narita to TDR? Odd arrival time...

We're heading back to Japan and TDR in March for our second time, and we couldn't be more excited! So we've done this before and are fairly familiar with things.

But the arrival time of my flight has me a bit nervous. We're supposed to arrive at 4:10PM, and the last Limo Bus for TDR leaves at 5. Last time we took the Limo bus, as our arrival was earlier in the day, but with our arrival so close to 5 (especially with baggage and customs) I'm awfully nervous to roll the dice that we'd make that last bus of the day.

Also, we'll have a 5 year old that hasn't dealt with the jet lag of being half way around the world, plus all our luggage... So taking the trains really isn't too attractive an option, even knowing it would be cheap and I've used their train system plenty.

That has led me to a car service. With Tokyo Airporter, I can get one way service to the Hilton Tokyo Bay for $200ish (5 people plus bags).

Considering my situation, is that the best option? I feel like it is, because it would be cutting it too close on the Limo Bus, and if we weren't able to make it, trying to get a car service at that moment would be much more difficult and stressful than just scheduling it out ahead of time and calling it done.

    Thoughts?

If you search back through this forum there are many threads on this topic.

My suggestion is to take the Limousine Bus to Shin-Urayasu Palm Terrace or Fountain Terrace Hotels. 2400 Yen per adult. 1200 Yen per child. These buses do run after 5PM. Then from there take a taxi to your hotel. This will cost you around 2000 Yen.

Total cost should be under $100.

I searched and didn't see anything... Seems the forum wasn't showing me threads older than 1 year.

      Thanks for the suggestion.

You can take any taxi waiting outside the airport to the Hilton for $200--no need to make any arrangements in advance IN CASE you actually make the Airport Limousine Bus (which has a toilet--always a plus).

Fukai is correct. I checked a Japanese taxi fare website. It calculated a fare of about JPY18,000 to 19,000 and a 50-minute trip between Narita Airport and Tokyo Disneyland. I suggest this option.

              Roger is correct.

Roger is correct, yes, and provided your times line up that's what you should do if cash is an issue.

Wait, why Palm or Fountain? Wouldn't it be closer take the hotel bus to Oriental or Brighton and take a taxi from there? Especially with all the construction slowing down Traffic in Shin Urayasu which could potentially bump up that taxi fee by a lot.

If you are going to plagiarize my post, you could at least make an attempt to change at least one word.

Regarding which hotel is best to use as a transfer point, I defer to DreamSweetsLove as she knows the area and current road situations the best. Please follow her suggestion!
