[Question] Booking hotel on Disney Property for next year?

My friend and I went to WDW for the first time this January, We booked it almost a year in advance.
We are planning on going back next January, but for some reason you still can't book for 09.
I find this weird that we are already halfway through June.

anyone know when it will be up?

You can book the hotel. Your deposit would be based on this years prices and then adjusted once the new rates are out. Packages should be released probably mid August....If you are looking around Jan 1 or 2nd then you may want to put a hold on the room, otherwise you have time to wait for the packages to be released.

I was suprised at this also so I emailed into reservations to see what was going on. Below is part of the response I received from Disney. It makes sense. Just have to wait a bit.

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

Each year, our Product Development Department reviews all components
offered under each package name. This determines the packages and
components included for the following year. At this time, packages
beyond 2008 have not been announced. Please check back in the Summer of
2008 for updated information.

I believe that you can book your room, if you make a phone call, instead of trying to do it online. I always do my bookings over the phone, since I usually only do room only. You might want to call instead.

You know.. we DO have more hotels in this city outside Disney. And some are just as nice or better, and with a nicerprice that will allow you to stay here longer.. Just a thought..

Like was said above, call and make your reservation. Also when you call you have until (I think) 3 days prior to cancel. Online I think you have to cancel within 14 days.

Yes but the Disney hotel prices are going to be even cheaper in the coming months because of high gas prices. If you're willing to blow money on gas to drive down to Disney theyll reward ya with cheap hotel rooms.

That's very true but it ain't like staying on property - that's why we joined Disney Vacation Club.
