  • [Question] Walt Disney World and Disneyland dvds?

    Hi All,

Just wondering if you have some reviews or suggestions for good Disneyland and Walt Disney World dvds/bds? This would be the kind of dvd that makes you feel like you are in the parks. Please let me know if you have any or heard of any that you can recommend, thanks.

The Modern Marvels of Walt Disney World is actually a great overview and history of the resort. It's available at amazon.
    It's a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah...Tip for Today!

We have the Sing Along Songs - Disneyland Fun. It's a bit dated (the people have acid-washed jeans and big hair...ahhh, the 80's), but there are many shots of the insides of rides like Splash Mountain, Matterhorn, IASM, and Jungle Cruise. We purchased our copy from the Disney Movie Club for like 8 bucks or something during one of their promos.

I am also a fan of the special edition dvd called "Disneyland: Secrets, Stories, and Magic". It's one of those special dvds that come in a tin. (also available from DMC)

The latter does not have a ton of ride footage, but it does have a lot of footage from rides that no-longer exist, which I thought was pretty fun. (flying saucers, anyone?)

oh yeah! I almost forgot! There are a bunch of special features on it! There is a trivia quiz and some stuff about the world's fair and whatnot that document the making of Carousel of Progress, the Primeval World, and It's a Small World. Fun stuff!
