    the film.
The scaling seems so different (of course ones a film/animation and one is obviously real life)
but the domed ceiling is missing and a lot of detailing is wrong
even the picture on the ceiling is far bigger than it is in the film.

what's next? Eric's Castle isn't that close to the Beast's castle in real life? There was only one flying Dumbo in the movie, not 12! How can Ariel do a meet and greet in her fishtale, she needs water to survive!

I mean really, it's just nitpicking now.

Well people are saying how brilliant all the detailing is, when yes in some things it really is like wow it's brilliant
but this is probably the most iconic and most used scene from the movie in adverts and just everything, everyone remembers this scene so for them not to get this is right I feel is a little ridiculous.
It's not like they haven't got the resources or experience to not get it right ya no?

I believe Disney did a great job at this. The job of Disney is to evoke a feel, when you walk into that room, you know you're walking into the ballroom because it evokes that feel. If you look at the original there are some differences, but they couldn't do it completely the same because the room is smaller and if they tried to fit everything it would feel too cramped. For instance, the ceiling in the movie is vastly different from the real one they built, but the ceiling would look too cramped in that small space. Making the artwork throughout gives diners the option to look up and everyone can see it, not just a few.

Beast has a castle. What castle has just one ballroom?

I believe it is called expanding the size so the resturant seats more the 10 people! The detail looks amazing to me.

If you look at the original concept art the room did look taller and had the dome I believe.

It looks great, regardless of how close it is to the film. Fantasyland attractions aren't always as accurate to their film counterparts. Behold!

                    1. There's only one Dumbo in his respective film, not what is it, 24?
                    2. The Queen is never referred to as the Witch in the film, yet signage for all Snow White dark rides label her as the Wicked Witch. The 1971 Snow White's Adventures ended with the Witch killing riders by dropping a giant gem on their heads. Keep in mind that back in the day, riders were supposed to BE Snow White, meaning Snow White was killed in this ride. I don't remember that in the movie.
                    3. Mr. Toad never died and went to hell or practically any of the locations found in Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
                    4. Bambi and Thumper don't live in the North Pole, yet they appear in the North Pole portion of Hong Kong's Small World.
                    5. Pinocchio's Daring Journey ends with Pinocchio still as a puppet unlike the film.

There's a lot of inaccuracies that truly don't matter. They're still classics and will always be that way.

ORDDU: It's true that most of the Disney attractions do no accurately reflect the animated films that inspired them. Sleeping Beauty's castle doesn't look like the animated version hardly at all. Cinderella's Castle doesn't look that much like the one in her animated version, either. Prince Eric's Castle in the New Fantasyland is a scaled down version of what the movie version is like. So, my sisters and I have come to accept the inaccurate versions of all these attractions and just be glad that we have anything at all.

ORWEN: Yeah, by rights Rapunzel's hair shouldn't be long and blond since her hair was cut at the end of the movie and turned brown. Yet when we see her in the parks she's still a blond with long hair. And Pinocchio is supposed to be a real, live boy by now, yet we see him in the parks as a puppet, still.

ORDDU: And the beast should be a prince by now instead of a beast--unless the spell was somehow reversed. And Tarzan should really be in love with ME instead of that awful plain Jane he somehow ended up with....but I digress....

Well, the restaurant is clearly not finished in the picture you posted... Granted, I don't expect it to be much different when it opens, but if you're going to complain about the detail work then you should at least wait until it's finished to do that since most of the detail work will have happened between the time of that video's filming and the opening.

So far this level of detail in the artwork and area as a whole is pretty amazing from that picture! I'd be more than happy to lose myself in that, and yes though it's truely not to scale (for what I think are obvious reasons) the detailing is what we've been looking and asking TDO for for years...

                          seriously this looks great!
