So last week my family and I took a trip to Florida. The last time I went to Florida was in 2001, specifically for Walt Disney World (did 4 parks and 2 water parks in a week). This time it was a little different. We were to spend time in Orlando, Miami, and Key West. That meant only one day for Walt Disney World. Our plan was to visit Animal Kingdom and EPCOT. My sister and I love theme parks and have lots of energy to spare, my parents, not so much. The not-so-genius plan was to take a red eye to Orlando and start off right away. I didn't prefer it but I like a challenge. This resulted in my father going back to the hotel after Animal Kingdom and my mother after EPCOT. My sister and I, full of excitement, decided to squeeze in Disney's Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom because there were attractions we haven't done. The result was being awake for over 40 hours and memories worth the exhaustion. No regrets at all.Nearly 12 years later, I finally returned to the Walt Disney World resort:Sunrise from our hotel:Park #1!:Pic of me at the boring gate with awful lighting:My sister and I at the Tree of Life... that isn't alive...Since Expedition Everest wasn't open in 2001, it was time for my first ride (longest walk ever to Asia):I enjoy details like this: The queue can be quite loverly:Tea Train:REALLY enjoyed Everest more than I expected to. That high bank turn while going backwards took me by surprise:I didn't really step into Dino-rama, looked cheesy and there were other attractions I preferred to experience:I forgot how dark this attraction (Dinosaur) was, haha:Such beautiful landscape:Going in the bushes? Oh hey! There's a nice view of Everest!:I don't remember this sign at all, but I thought it was pretty cool:Some really boring fish. They could have done a back flip or two:Onward to Kiliminjaro Safaris!: Some birds waiting for a rhino to die:Man made nature gets real purty and stuff:Lion murderers:Giraffe called me a perv, slapped me across the face, I excused myself by lifting my fedora, we parted ways:Some fat antelopes, something like that. I wasn't really paying attention:Pondering life: I call these slug ostriches:Park #2, EPCOT!:I LOVED Mission: Space! My very first ride and it took my by surprise. I didn't expect it to be as intense as it was:Apparently trying to drive him off road is frowned upon at EPCOT:I want to visit the real Norway, this will suffice for now:I want to visit the real China, this will suffice for now:Deustchland:Hey there, you hang out at the Italy pavilion too?:Deceptively happy:Topiaries. Topiaries everywhere!:Laughed at an inappropriate joke, will not divulge:So much better than a real ancient pagoda, right? eh?:Morocco looking all Moroccan:I made sure to take the snootiness up a notch once I walked through France:Sooo... if Disney didn't want anyone going through their miniature hedge maze, it wouldn't have hurt them to put up a sign:The view from the UK pavilion:Creepy Captain Hook with no pupils *shudders*:This is the face I make when I walk into a bar:Peter Pan violate safety in the UK:Farewell, EPCOT:Park #3, Disney's MGM Studios!.... FINE!! Hollywood Studios ~_~Our only goal for this park was to ride Tower of Terror (which we never have) and Rockin' Roller Coaster (presented by Hanes, everyone) because we love that ride:I enjoyed it more than DCA's version : / It was the only ride we repeated that day:: DTwilight Zone at twilight, gawd I'm clever:Well, at least DCA's Carthay Circle is better *shrugs*:Mark IV? Ahahaha! What is this, the dark ages?!:3 hours left, the goal was to eat (because we were starving) and to experience PhilharMagic for the first time:Ooh Cinderella's Castle, you lookin' pretty gurl!:Part of the new Fantasyland. Meh:Yes we were tired, and no I didn't see the rest of the new Fantasyland. We didn't mind parking hopping around the way we did since we have been to Disney World, and the main idea was to experience things we favored and things that were new to us (and didn't suck, no Stich's Great Escape for us). The next day we visited Islands of Adventure for the first time, that TR will go in the proper forum. Thanks for wasting time with me! We had an amazing time!
