God, for some strange reason I had a dream last night where they started gutting Timekeeper...odd.
Well if it is being removed lets hope its not MI...I can see it in some TLs...but not WDWs...I'd prefer a new attraction based of the future...but I could go for Incredibles here instead of in CoP.

ORDDU: My sisters and I will miss TIME KEEPER. Of course, if something even better is going to replace it, our disappointment will fade.

ORWEN: We just hope the rumors we've heard in the past aren't true--that TIME KEEPER might be replaced by a bumper car attraction that is themed to the Little Green Men from TOY STORY.

ORGOCH: Heck!! Somethin' like that'd be 'nuff ta make me wanna' toss my frog legs!!

At the news of this I can only think of one thing to say:

                    "Ohhh...the pants are full."

RIP Timekeeper. You will be missed.

Although I loved Timekeeper (and thought it was one of the funniest attractions there), I also realize that very few people went to see it when it was open. So yes, I will miss 9-eye & Timekeeper, but I expect bigger and better things in the future. Well, time flies, and now I'm going to go browse through the Library at Alexandria ... check up on Columbus before he got to Ohio ... give Freud a piece of my mind and say, "Oedipus Schmedipus!"

                        Re: Timekeeper removed 2/26/06

I never saw it in person, but from the online video I thought it was quite a great film combining the two medias Walt Disney perfected: Circle Vision and Audio Animatronics. It will be a sad day, as it seems that not many people value storytelling and substance anymore. It was truly the last of its kind.

However, I was thinking about this today, since it does have a distinctly French style, with Verne, TGV, Paris, and many of the scenes, could they not add it to the French pavillion at Epcot. They could even go back and dub over the deleted scenes from "Le Visionarium" such as the Air France Concorde scene, or possibly renarrate it using the same actors...But this wouldn't happen, because "Impressions de France" is not 360 and it would not truly fit it. Maybe they can send it to Disneyland and put it in to replace "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" after building a Circle-Vision theater. Or send it to Tokyo DisneySea and build it in Mysterious Island or Port Discovery. And well that's the last of the places I can think of where it will fit in....

I hope that they do not go PIXAR on the land again. Unlike the other parks, WDW's Tomorrowland had an Omnimover track to put Buzz on, TDL, DL, and DLP gave up their Circle Vision for Buzz Lightyear. It is coming to the point where stories and rides have to be prechewed and fed to people, as it seems more rides are built for people with no imagination. I don't understand Monsters in the future, let alone in California, and I don't think this is the place to try. It used to be that MK's Tomorrowland was the envy of other parks at times. It had Space Mountain first, it had a unique aviation attraction (with speedrooms I think are the predessecor to Soarin'), had a unique Alien attraction, and all kinds of things.

If we have to see The Timekeeper go, at least they should open it up for the last day, and put on the boards outside the park or send it to the local papers. Hopefully, it won't be the last time we ever see the Timekeeper, Nine-Eye, or Jules. Maybe with the new blood over at Imagineering, the next attraction they decide to put in. And next we will be hearing about Carousel of Progress, which on Jim Hill they said will be turning for the last time in autumn. However, how many times have we heard about CoP

"What journey is complete without a brief moment in the English countryside with someone named Trevor? Hello, Trevor! Take care."

I wonder if they will have it open for the days leading up to the end. Would be a nice send off at least.

Yes Monsters Inc, but WDW's once spoken of RUMOR was some kind of Monsters Inc show. With CoP becoming an Incredibles show. :P Blah.
                              I say something Spacey.
