I stayed at POFQ last year. The rooms were wonderful. The reseort is newly remodeled. There is nothing quite like heading back to your hotel room at night with a brand new comfy bed waiting for you after a hard day of walking.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.
The rooms are actually the exact same size. The difference is the theming. Deb Wills has photos of both resorts as well as info on both on her wonderful site (www.wdwig.com). I have stayed at both resorts many times, including the past year. I prefer FQ for the theming and much smaller size, but both are wonderful places to stay at WDW.
POFQ is my favorite resort on property (and yes, I've stayed Deluxe before - DAK ties with POFQ for me! hehe). It's small, beaautiful, and just a lovely, lovely place to spend your vacation.
July 1987 - offsite, 1-day visit to the MK; July-August 2000 - honeymoon - Port Orleans (now POFQ); May 2003 - Caribbean Beach Resort; Dec 2003 - Coronado Springs; April 2004 - Pop Century (PC) & POFQ; Sept 2004 - Animal Kingdom Lodge; May 2005 - Port Orleans Riverside; Sept 2005 - PC; Oct 2006 - POFQ; Apr 2007 - PC; July 2007 - Boardwalk Villas (WOO HOO! I was at WDW in the MK on the 20th anniversary of my first visit!); August - Sept 2007 - Old Key West; Sept 2007 - Saratoga Springs; Oct 2007 - BWV; Mar-Apr 2008 - SS
Dec 2001 - Grand Californian; Jan 2005 - GC; July 2005 - HoJo Anaheim & GC; Dec 2008 - Best Western Park Place Inn
POFQ is one of my favorite Disney resorts due its small size and theming. The only thing the resort lacks is a table restaurant and a lounge. You can walk, or take an internal resort bus, to Riverside if you desire a sit-down meal or an adult beverage in the evening. By day, they do have a pool bar.
