I would suggest you got to allears.net. You can find info on all the hotels, restaurants in the hotels, and photo galleries too.

      Re: Hotels

Allears.net is really a great place to find reviews. I have stayed at 3 different hotels in my life at Disney and I loved them all! Contemporary I stayed at when I was a boy so I do not remember it much, but I loved how the monorail came through the lobby! I stayed quite a few times at the beach club, and it was an amazing experience! they have a huge pool, a great ice cream shop and are very close to MGM and Epcot! This summer I will be staying at the Grand Floridian, It looks beautiful and I am really looking forward to it.

            Re: Hotels

You might want to narrow it down into what category/price range you are looking at. Then feel free to ask any hotel-specific questions here!

              Re: Hotels

When selecting a hotel, I always try to think a) how much time will I spend at the hotel and b) how important is decor and theming to me. If you plan on spending a lot of time by the pool, on resort grounds, I would pick one of the deluxe resorts. Each is gorgeous and you will have fun just walking around the area. If you are just looking for a place to sleep or don't plan on spending a lot of time out of the parks, then values or moderates may be a better choice. I don't see the logic in spending a lot of money on a hotel if I am going to be too busy to really immerse myself in what it has to offer. Think about location, too. If you are a big fan of Epcot, for example, you may want to stay at a resort within walking distance to Epcot.

As far as an exact hotel selection, I have favorites in all categories. Like DisneyPrincess said, give us a category and we'll be glad to get nit-picky.

                Re: Hotels

There's no such thing as "the best." For one person, the best means the most expensive. For another, the best means the best bang for the buck.

For one person, the best means the most activities. For another, the best means the quietest and most tranquil.

For one person, the best means the closest to magic Kingdom. For another, the best means the closest to Epcot.

For one person, the best means the finest on-site restaurants. For another, the best means a great food court for the kids and the availablity of coffee as early as 6:00 a.m.

See what I mean? Do what the others have suggested ... research what the resorts have to offer. Choose the types of things you like, and after you find a few resorts that offer those, THEN it would be a good idea to ask for opinions between those choices.

It's sort of like asking "What's the best food?" Well, some days I'm in the mood for lobster, and some days I'm in the mood for meatloaf. Is lobster better? Not if I'm in the mood for meatloaf!!!

                    Re: Hotels

Yes, allears.net is the best place to look. Even the list given here, while very well done, does not include the Villas, which are the "home away from home" category. The campgrounds are alos missing.

Best place to look besides the official website? Allears.net
