Wonders of Life is only open seasonally. This is the reason they are no longer listed on any of the websites.

No, this is new. It used to be listed with the notation about it being "Open Seasonally." Time Keeper is still listed the same way on the site.

Either way, it'll be better to get something in there instead of just having it sit; that's a prime piece of real estate there.

I've never been in Wonders of Life. Hasn't been open when I've been to Epcot the past couple of times and when I was there in '01 and '03 never made it over there. From what I've read about it, I think it may be my loss. It sounded kind of cool.

I did get a brochure in the mail last week for the upcoming International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot this October and November. There are a few seperate paid wine schools taking place inside the pavilion on some weekends, so at least some activity will be happening inside of it. However, it does not sound like the pavilion will be open to the general public with attractions operating. Just wine school.

Well, don't get me wrong, I didn't hatet it, I like Cranium Command and Body Wars, but compared to the pavilions of it's day and other new pavilions, the whole entertainment and education parts didn't really blend in that well IMHO. You have that whole super-flamboyant 80's colors and art direction, then the dark and boring science exhibit in the back of the pavilion.

I think the concept is great, just not the greatest execution.

Hmmm. They have been using it for corporate events.

I'd be quite pleased if they start work on the immeaditate replacment. However, if it just sits there closed and empty that would be sad. I think it hurts Universe of Energy to be in the corner with a closed attraction next to it.

Does anyone else see the irony in using a pavillion devoted to healthy living as special events regarding wine??? :geek:

Exactly what I meant. I got the same brochure, but the main point I was trying to make was that to offer it to a select, paying few, minus all the attractions in there seems like a waste. Surely there's enough room at the also underutilized Odyssey to feature the cooking school and the wine tasting. That is a major piece of Future World sitting there, which would at least try to cater to people who can't go on the recent thrills. Something needs to be done, and soon.

What was the reason given for putting the pavillion on a "seasonal" basis. There was so much to do in there that they could have replaced any weak links and still kept it open.

Sadely.. I feel WOL might have become the next Horizons.. closed unless needed to be open to handel influx of people walking around the area.. or worse.. the odysee area... specialevents open... otherwise closed...
