  • Mission Space: Orange or Green?

Simple question, not a poll because I want your reasons.

Do you prefer the Orange Team (Full Throttle) or Green Team (Half Throttle), are you a G Force junkie or a Motion junkie? Or would you prefer to catch the Monorail over to MK and jump on IASW?

I never tried the Orange because I wasn't willing to risk feeling sick. Green was very cool.

I like Orange because the intense version has never been a problem for me.

I rode Mission Space back before there was any difference at all. I have since ridden both versions. Honestly, I can't tell too much of a difference. The Green version manages to simulate the sensations of the Orange version without the spinning. Good work on Disney's park if you ask me.

I haven't done the orange in years - I did just try the green and really enjoyed it. I don't tend to suffer from motion sickness either way.

I think the Green version is barely worth riding...

Re: Mission Space: Orange or Green?

The orange team version is more thrilling to me than Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, the Hulk, Duelling Dragons.......it truly took my breath away. Brilliant fun.

Having been on the green team version many times before, I wasn't expecting the intensity to increase THAT much!

Feeling the weight of your limbs multiply for seconds at a time is unique; though my Disney traditionalist side laments the fact that it's not what you'd call 'family friendly'.

Nevertheless, I find it difficult to choose between Mission:SPACE and Soarin' as my Future World favourite since the *cough* improvements *cough* to Spaceship Earth.

SPACE is certainly the more immersive of the two.

Re: Mission Space: Orange or Green?

Anything that spins makes me very sick and the last thing I want to do is throwup while I'm paying tons of money to enjoy myself at Epcot. So I take the green version, and I was very impressed with it. Personally, I wish they'd have just done the green version from the start and used the money they saved with not having to build the centrifuges to make the space pavilion a much more enjoyable space. Maybe have the ride take us to a final docking with a space station and have the exit be into what looks like a space station.

I actually was impressed as well. I was expecting the equivalent of the non-motion side in Wild Arctic (at Sea World), and it wasn't like that. I can't really compare the two sides, because I hadn't ridden MS in several years previously - but I really enjoyed the green side, I would ride that again.

Re: Mission Space: Orange or Green?

I tend to get motion sick pretty often, but I always do the Orange side. I was ecstatic after my first ride (before the versions), but have found it to be lacking in the repeatability sector.

Now if I had to choose between Green, Orange, or "it's a small world", well the happiest cruise that ever sailed would win.

My motion sickness has gotten pretty bad. I can't even handle the Green version, Space Mountain, or Star Tours. I wonder if taking pills would help?

I've done both and really have no preference.
