  • Santa's List!

Are you on Santa's naughty or nice list? What did or didn't you do?

I gave one of my husband's favorite jackets (that I hate) to charity and I plan never to tell him! I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

I said I hated some people cause they made me so angry that I blew up.

I think I was good this year. I got through the CNA program, Acute care both on Honor Roll (high honor roll with perfect attendance). And I put up with people that I don't like. Oh! And Pearl. Pearl puts me on the good list.

I bake cookies and deliver to the neighborhood kids all the time, so that should earn me a point or two.
I have tried to be good this year so hopefully I am on the good list
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

oh! THAT'S how you do that!

See, hubby has this pair of basketball shorts that he has had since we were dating (10 yrs ago!). There is NO elastic left, and they are just a pitiful site. Since I do laundry, I hid them, figured, if he askes, I'll dig them up. If not...no harm done. Only, I forgot about them. When we moved a couple of months ago, there they were. Unfortunately, he saw them....and now guards them with his life.

note to self....charity.......give them to charity......

My husband has a packed drawer (seriously, I can't close it most of the time) that is FULL of ratty old tee shirts with advertising on them (freebies at trade shows). Every couple of weeks or so, I throw one of the worst ones out. He hasn't missed them. I wouldn't mind if he wore them as work shirts to get dirty in, but he thinks they are his "weekend shirts" to go out in public in.

You know what you ladies can do with the ratty shirt, icky sweater, etc: make them into something. Like felt the old sweater and make it into a pillow for the house. That way he has it in some form. My little sister left a few of her college shirts (things that say "Cal State....") at our house awhile ago, and just graduated from the college. So I'm stitching up the shirts to make pillows. Figure it'll remind her of how far she's come.

I've done that with the good ratty shirts - you know, old college teams, vacation souvenirs, etc. But these are throw away shirts with logos of other companies that he got at trade show.

I'd like to think I'm on his nice list but the more I think about it, there may be some coal in the stocking or reindeer poop down the chiminy flue.
