    All American

Does anyone know of any companies who do not outsource jobs and make their products in USA? I just know of the Tootsie Roll & Budweiser makers who make all American products. Plus after a boycott, Fruit of the Loom is starting to bring their business back to the states (it really shouldn't have left the states in the first place so I wont be playing the sympathy violin for them).

This can be resourceful for those who do not want to buy products made in 3rd world countries. Does anyone else know of any companies who do not resort to cheap labor?

GC are these a list of companies who participate or do not participate in cheap labor over seas? Because AOL & Fruit of the Loom are listed and they do participate in cheap labor. Thanks for the list though. )

Here is a list of companies we've confirmed are "Exporting America." These are U.S. companies either sending American jobs overseas, or choosing to employ cheap overseas labor, instead of American workers.

I am thinking GC's list is of companies who participate in cheap labor. Don't forget to add Dole, Disney, & Tyson foods.

yay, the company i work for was listed on that list. Although, we are branching out of the US...so.....
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
                  Marge: Pink.

Most interesting!!!! Great list Gemini! Thanks for finding that. Some of the companys listed surprize me as sending jobs overseas, but sadly most do not. (Surprize me that is.) Seems there is almost nothing 100% made in America now days. The list of companys who are would be a very small list indeed I fear.

my company is on that list too.

not only are our some of our parts made overseas, they are sold overseas too. in fact, even though we are a company that was started here, and headquarted here, most of our sales today are from foreign markets.

seems fair to me that if we sell 'em overseas, we ought to make some of them there too.

Well, the fact is... we have work coming in 24 hours. Short of making an overnight crew (which people don't want to do) that's our solution.
                        Eh.
BTW, since we don't manufactre overseas, I know that, at least in my dept., the works are paid the going rate and everything's done of the up and up.

So........ just because a company outsources, doesn't mean that the people in other countries are getting screwed over or that they're necesasrily taking away jobs from U.S. workers (we care always hiring over here!)
                        Good morning, son
                        In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                        It was pain
                        Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

The way I see it is like this, the companies who are employing cheap labor are killing themselves off. Why you ask? Because if they keep laying off Americans, no one will be buying their products and they will contunue to lay people off because they are not getting any money to pay them. I have to now laugh when companies like Ford wonder why people are not buying their products. Now they are dumb for even acting like they don't know why.

American Apparel is made in downtown LA and claims to be sweat shot free. And, they have a nice sex pot boob shot of a woman in a cami and boy shorts in their flash rotation, so they'ce selling women as sex which is also very American.

Personally, I prefer interesting clothing and products. I usually buy stuff that is non-American manufactured.
