How did you discover MiceChat?

Thought it might be interesting to hear some stories from MiceChatters as to how they discovered MiceChat.

I myself was new to this computer stuff. I spent time on a WDW website, and was planning a trip to Disneyland. The other web site did not meet my needs for Disneyland info. Therefore, I began surfing the web and discovered MiceChat. Great discovery.

Anyone else care to share?

I think I knew about it before SaveDisney, but when Roy opened SaveDisney, that is when I really got into MiceAge, and through MiceAge I got hooked on MiceChat.

Same with me. SaveDisney introduced MiceAge and I then clicked through to MiceChat

I just followed the herd. There's a group of us that has been posting together for years- we started at one board that can not be named- then we went to another that should not be named- and then we came here.

We're the Migratory MiceChatters- just looking for a home and a name.....and so help me we better not have to migrate ever again! I've been two years with these people and it's an adventure.

I've been a reader of Miceage pretty much since its beginnings. I signed up for Micechat the weeke it opened and its the first message board I have ever really participated in. I am registered with many others, but don't really post anywhere else.

I came from the same herd as Nephy. :lol: No other way to describe it.

I posted at MousePad, then at Fab's. Then here. I posted at LoT and MiceChat and MousePad at the same time for many months, then recently decided my heart is definitely here at MiceChat. I don't have the time or the internet speed to do much more than MiceChat either.

MiceChat is something special. I started reading MiceAge as soon as Al left MousePlanet...and I discovered MousePad because of Al's articles on MousePlanet back in 2001. I lurked there for four or five months before posting. I love the people and the attitude of MiceChat. I'm here to stay. :love:

MP to Fab to here. Once here, never paid a visit backwards, so to speak. Lurked until I finally had something to say. Not that it was profound or even mildly interesting. I just got the urge and I think we all know how that can be.

Yeah, I read MiceAge for quite some time and then they intro'd MiceChat. I started with it the first week. First DL board that I actually got involved with. And I'm glad that I did.

With the exception of a few, the people here are GREAT! (long story...don't ask)

Even made it to one of the weekly meets at DL recently. Added a lot to my enjoyment. Hope to be at many more (and we're from Northern CA).

I was also banned from Laughing Place. This guy asked where the best chicken place was in Anaheim. All's I said was "your mom's house" then I believe I added "Dorothy Mantooth is a saint!!"

If that got you banned I can't imagine its a very fun site!
I was looking into anniversary info and stumbled onto MiceAge and by then MiceChat. I lurked for almost a month, then decided everyone was having too much fun without me!

okay...appropiately..mine is CREEPY! lol
Each Halloween...brings up memories of a home my parents used to frequent that belonged to their best friends. It was TOTALLY haunted!
I've tried and tried to find information on the history of that home to no avail. Sooo this last october, once again i went on my net search for anything i could find and came across this ghost hunters website. I emailed them w/ all the information I had & unbeknownst to me at the time .. oogie was the one who investigated for me..although i think his name on there was fenrus or something or other.... soooooooooo
that very evening i was looking up something about disneyland & came across a link for here...and being halloween time people were posting scary stories. so i posted about my experience..& lo & behold...there was Oogie!!! He pm's me asking if i was the one who contacted him about the house on his other site! it was sooooo weird!
and.... i've been stuck here ever since! :-)

I had been reading MiceAge for a long time and was on various Disney sites for the last 4 years (OMG has it really been that long???)
I posted on 3 lurked on many others, read MA and saw on other sites that MC was coming.... I was intrigued. I was here the first day, and the next few reading trying to see what this one would be like, then after a couple days decided to just sign up (what the heck, I was registered on so many anyway...) Well I got hooked, I have been posting here almost daily for almost a year now...and I LOVE IT! I posted on 3 for the first month dropped one posted on this and another for a few months, then gave up tall the others....though I occasionaly lurk elsewhere just to see whats going on but I haven't posted anywhere but here in months...

I am faithful to my MiceChat

I kinda sorta knew about MiceChat, but I had already made some friends on MousePad and was having a pretty good time there. (I still post there occasionally.) Then some of my friends started to disappear. When I stayed Princess Buttercup's last September, she told me many of them had migrated to MiceChat. (And I won't go into the sordid reasons.) Anyway, I'm glad I joined.

I use to read Al's column over at MousePlanet until he left and started MiseAge. I was reading his MiceAge column one day when suddenly I noticed this link to something called MiceChat and ta-da...here I am.
