Okay, guys... here's the deal...
FOX News last week did a report on how a Tigger character over at Walt Disney World in Florida "punched" a teenage kid. In the footage they showed, the kid was obviously doing something to Tigger behind his back (out of view of the camera), and Tigger was defending himself. They showed the kid saying "I don't know what I did to provoke him..." Riiiiiiiight. But that's not what I'm posting about. After the segment, the female newscaster said, "That's right kids, go ahead and beat up the characters at Disneyland!"
Now, they have an obligation to report the news and what's happening, but they are NOT supposed to be giving their own personal commentary and giving all of Southern California and wherever else they broadcast carte blanche to come into my place of work and beat up the people I love and care about! I don't think there's a better example of irresponsible broadcasting out there, and I think FOX ought to know what a mistake they made. They are so quick to jump on what Disney does wrong, but they almost never report on the wonderful things we're doing, like the Flashback show I'm in and all the money it's raising for charity. But that's beside the point...
I'm asking all of you to please, call FOX or write to them at their email and tell them how wrong it was for that female newscaster to say what she did. I myself am boycotting their network, I know that it's home to The Simpsons so you all can't do that but please write or call them. Light up their board and let them know we won't stand for that kind of irresponsibility!
