This years show is suppose to be especially great. And in fact, so far it is!
I was just outside for 15 minutes and saw 6. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but beleive me, for the middle of L.A., seeing that many in 15 minutes is a huge deal.
Just go outside and face east. Look for the planet Mars (it's the bright orange-ish "star" (obviously not really a star) in the sky. Scan the sky to the left of Mars, up and down and around. That is the area where the meteors are shooting from.
Be sure to bundle up however, it's chilly outside (at least it is at my place).
They should be good to view tonight and tomorrow night.
