  • WDW Company D store

I will be in Florida this weekend, and would like to visit the FLA version of company D. How does a CA castmember get into the Florida stores?

    Anyone?

I'd imagine just drive to DU. If prompted show your ID and you'll be fine.

It's called property control and it is out past the Contemporary Hotel. Your DL ID will get you in. Ask any CM for directions. Before warned it is not as nice as ours. Lots of damaged stuff that we would MOS. Last time I went they had like broken coffee mugs with the handle taped to them for .25. Don't go to the one across from DTD. Very small and not much there. You might be able to find a map on the Cast portal if you do a search.

No offense, but the WDW Company D's are tiny when compared to our off site Company D. And they are Cast exclusive, you can't bring guest. And they all close around 5pm. Ours is open until 8pm, you can bring guest and it is a regular size store connected to a T.E.A.M. center. When I visited the Company D at TEAM Disney I had to go outside to change my mind.

No offense Disnerd but your above post is not very clear. What do you mean by having to go outside and change you mind? Then you say they are are cast exclusive but you also say that they are open till 8 and yu can bring guests?

While I can't speak for Disnerd, I think that he is saying that Florida's Company D closes at 5pm and you can't bring guests.

The California Company D closes at 8pm and you can bring guests.

He is also saying the Team Company D is very small. Not even big enough to change his mind in.

I'm sure Dinerd will correct me if I misunderstood what he was saying. I do welcome that correction if needed.

No correction needed. Now I didn't visit all of the Company Ds at WDW but the two I did were very small. There are about 5 or 6 of them and some are backstage. And my guest had to wait for me in the public areas. Which meant I had to do a lot of back and forth as I told them what they had. Our offsite Company D is much more user friendly. They even have times where they issue us passes that we can give to friends and family. Then they can visit on their own without a CM. The DL offsite Company D is the size of a regular retail shop that you might find in a mall. I'd say at least as big if not bigger than the local Disney Store. Now there is a small TEAM center at the Disneyland Resort Center behind the hotel that is so small you can only fit 4 or 5 people into it at one time. And that one you have to go outside to change your mind. (It's a joke, you see it's so small...never mind.)

Thanks for clearing that up, I only went to on Company D store behind the MK which you have to drive to around the back of Space Mtn. I was able to bring my guests with me and it was quite a bit larger than the Disney Store I worked at.

Must we forget Walt actually walked though DL castle, thus making the entire DLR far superior to anything in Florida.
