I terminated this past January and to this day, I still have not received a letter from casting, explaining that I do not have a no rehire, etc.... I remember in the past, they used to send out a letter acknowledging a termination and such. I called the other day and asked for casting records to find out if, in fact, I did have a no rehire on my record. The girl who answered the phone told me that we would have to go down to casting to find that out at their front desk. Always, after the fact, I start to analyze their philosophy on this and it just does not make sense. The casting dept. expects someone to drive from a possible long distance away just to find out if they have a no rehire, instead of getting this over the phone. They state it is because of privacy issue situation, but I think that is a load of BS. Also, if a person WERE to go down and find this out, they would also have to face the possibility of embarrassment in front of all the foot traffic that comes in and out of casting. This just does not make any sense whatsoever!!!
