  • I Have a Question about a song, If anyone can answer...

Hey, guys, I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not, but I have a question about some music I heard recently. I just saw this recently, and I was wondering if anyone could identify the music in the background. I'm sure i heard it somewhere, but i can't put my finger on it. Can anyone here guess?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Definitely James Newton Howard. But which film?

I'm guessing 'Peter Pan' since a song from that film ('Flying') is used in the YoMD commercials. But it could be from another film, like "Lady in the Water" or "The Village."

Someone else with a better knowledge of Howard's film scores could probably pin it down.

If you find out which one, let us know. I, too am curious.

I'm more confident that it's from "Lady in the Water." But I'd have to listen to all of it more intently to know for sure. Much of Howard's music tends to sound alike to me. Not a bad thing, mind you. Just difficult to pin down when you don't listen to it but occasionally.

And if this music is from "Lady in the Water," how ironic is that? Nina Jacobson turned down M. Night for Disney/Touchstone to produce the film, so he went to Warner Bros. instead.

          Weird.

I don't know where that music is from, but I love the pictures, especially the one with Scarlett Johanson, Joshrzmeup's avatar.
