I have the same as you Mr.DD, and we are happy with it. We've had Dish Network, and it wasn't worth it.

We don't have a Dish. In Chicago, we have Comcast Cable. They also do internet, but for that we have AT&T and it's a lots faster than when I had dial up.

Another happy Time Warner Cable customer, we do the High-Speed Intenet, phone service and Cable package with the HD DVR box. One bill, decent pricing, no ugly dish that can get poor reception on windy/poor weather days.

Brighthouse Networks here. We get basic cable free at my complex, so I pay the difference for having digital/DVR/HD and my internet... around $50/month.

The one thing I can complain about on TWC is that I live in a former comcast area where we hae to use the comcast equipment, which is Motorola and previously i lived in a TWC Legacy area where Scientific Atlantic boxes where used, much easier to use then but now, not the best. I hope they change that soon.

Directv. Never had a problem. Great service all around.

There are a lot of nightmare stories with Dish Network.

                    Re: Whos your Cable/Dish Co.?

We had Time Warner up until about last August. I got tired of the crappy customer service, since we can't call the local office anymore... if you call its routed down to San Diego County somewhere (Almost 3 hours from where we are). I called when we were having some problems with the TV and they said I needed the pin number... pin number? They said it was the pin number from when we first set up the account.

We've been here for almost 25 years. The cable company has gone through at least 3 different name changes since we "set up the account." I finally on a guess used the last 4 digits of hubbys SS number... that was it. Then it was going to be a week before someone could even come out to look at the problem.

We now have DirectTV and we've had no problems with it, even in the wind (which blows out here all the time) and rain and everything else. My only problem was when we first got it, the HDMI cable wasn't compatible with our new TV, and it was suppose to be resolved with the next software update of the receiver... but that hasn't happened yet. But, we don't have the HD service so its not that big a deal to me. We could probably count the number of hours a week we actually watch tv on our fingers and toes anyway...

AT&T Uverse. So far no problems, we get more channels, the quality is the same, and I save about $40 a month over Cox.

HATE Time Warner. Had then twice and was unhappy both times.

We have Verizon FIOS and we absolutely LOVE IT!!!

We have Comcast for our cable, Internet and phone. We *just* found out the package we've been paying for a year now (we upgraded to the package that has BBC America, NGC, History International, etc) has a phone line included. So now we have a fax machine.

I like Comcast. Whenever there is an issue in the area (there were a string of problems a while back where hooligans were stealing cables and stuff. Don't know why but it was on the news), we always get credited for the time we don't have service. There are always courteous people when I call customer service and things get fixed very quickly.
