I know this may sound harsh, but God does not want you to have iTunes.

I upgraded my iTunes the other night and must say it is pretty cool.

A Podcast is a recorded show about anything usually about a certain topic. Some are in video format but most are in audio format. All you do is download the podcast and transfer it to your mp3 player and there ya go. If you have a mp3 player with video capability than you can do the same with video podcasts.

A podcast is sort of like a radio show, except for download. Certain podcats can be access via the iTunes Music Store and iTunes will automatically download new shows.

iTunes itself works as a normal media player, utilizing QuickTime, and media organizer. You don't need an iPod to use iTunes, Podcasts, iTunes Music Store, etc.

it will be just like movies you have in the stores for rent, etc.

Movies from itunes is a raw deal.. not worth it

                          - large files (how many before you run out of storage)
                          - can't burn to dvd
                          - expensive (for the same price you can buy most DVDs outright)
                          - can only view on computer or ipod

Where as for almost the same price you can buy the DVD outright and rip it to play on your ipod if you care.. or download it illegally and have all the same 'near instant' (downloading 600megs isn't instant.. anywhere ) gratification (similar to itunes) but with none of the limitations.

video from the store makes sense for TV shows, etc.. smaller and not easily accessible legally.. but movies at $10 isn't worth it. A DVD you can keep on your shelf forever.. a itunes d/l you can only keep till you run out of room or burn off-line.. which you would have to copy back to your computer to play decently.

music was different because you got it in a format not really accessible legally before (by single song) and was cheap compared to buying the existing legal formats (albums or singles)

I bet there is a way around the movie thing though. Can't those files be converted? I am sure someone has developed that kind of software already.

But yes...too big of a file and not enough space for movies.
