  • Disney wants Seaworld, Discovery Cove, and Aquatica?

    http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/investi...moretopstories

This would be a match made in heaven IMO. Disney would have a brand new waterpark in Aquatica, the "exclusive" park they wanted to make in Discovery Cove, plus Seaworld and it's coasters, Wild Arctic, and Journey to Atlantis. I really hope Disney gets them!

What a boring company InBev is. So sad that Anhauser Bucsh is selling all of it's holdings. I have long considered the company Disney's biggest competitor, next to Universal. Less competition is never a good thing. At least Sea World, etc. would remain in american hands should Disney buy it.

Not if you're an Anheuser-Busch investor. I'm very pleased with the InBev deal.

I can't see Disney taking over any of the SeaWorld properties. Why compete with yourself for Florida tourist dollars?

Well Tim, I'm extremely happy for you. Just the same, all the other investers are as boring as InBev.

I wouldn't mind the Sea World thing, since that would mean a Disney property would be a mile from home. But I will miss the free beer tasting.

Is Disney only interested in the Florida property, or the California and Texas properties as well? I hope Disney wants all the parks, and wins. I work at Sea World in San Diego and having it turn into a Disney park would be awesome. I would miss the best benefit of all though, the two free cases of beer each month that employees get.

I've heard that you will be able to drink like a fish with cm's at the character meet and greets.

Well it's not just 3 Sea World locations that are involved. There are two Busch Gardens locations (What would happen to the name of those two places?) And then there is Sesame Place in Philadelphia - looks to be a kiddie park and water park, and a couple other odd water parks. Are Busch Gardens something Disney would even want to take over? The 3 Sea Worlds, maybe but the rest, not so sure.
Critter Country's a mess ev'r since the Country Bears were kicked out. Ya can't cover pooh with honey and 'spect people ta like it.

Is AB sold off Busch Entertainment Corp. as a package deal, it would be all the parks. I personally only care about the fate of the Sea World's which could just as easily be sold apart from the bigger package of BEC.

                          It could, but it won't.

that the Busch name would be removed from those two parks.

The article seems to point to only the three Seaworld Florida parks being sold to Disney, and 1.5 billion seems way too low for the entire chain.
