Great pics. It's nice to see it from another perspective! Is this your house, a friends house, or what? I'd be curious to know what the typical noise levels are like, and if the Halloween Horror nights increase it, since many screaming people are going through that area.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

It's a public street view. When I was taking pictures I could hear the engine spinning on the War of the World's set and the occasional tram engine. I'm sure residents do hear much of the Halloween Horror Nights stuff!!

What's crazy, like the folks who live near Disneyland, some residents actually complain about the noise! Not just from Halloween Nights but when filming goes on into the night from other productions. I find this really funny & dumb LOL. It's like hello? Your backyard is just about a massive working studio, it's not like the realtor didn't make note of it or the owner knew what he/she was getting into.

I would be so excited living near Universal's backlot from that vantage point =)

        PS
With massive crowds at Universal Studios now, the backlot tram actually runs into the night now, especially on the weekends. They actually stop the line 2 hours after the printed time. Last weekend I got in line by 8:20pm, waited in line for about 60mins, and by near 9:30pm, I got on the tram tour =). It was night fall, and I have to say, it was really fun seeing the whole back-lot at night. By the time the tram rolled to the end, and we guests stepped off, it was about 10:30pm. The sets are just lighted by spotlights, Little Europe was really creepy, Jaws at night was great, and seeing the Bates Motel sign and the Bates home all by itself at night just gives that extra realism unlike during Halloween Nights.

Hmmm, you'll have to let me know what street! I'd love to see this view for myself.

It's 'Blair Dr,' the main road that you want to catch to get to Blair Dr is Barham Blvd off Buddy Holly Dr.

            Once on Barham Blvd,
Make a Left on De Witt Dr, stay on De Witt Dr till...
You hit Troy Dr, make a right!
Stay on Troy and boom, you hit a t-intersection and you hit blair Dr. At this point, you will see Universal's back-lot, and at this area, your at the top of the hill, over looking the War of the World's & The Lost World: Jurassic park sets (or what the pictures above were taken).

            Hope that helps =)

Re: Universal from the neighborhood above Falls Lake

Hi, I'm new here and I love Pirates of the Caribbean and Johnny Depp and I would like to try and see something of Pirates' filming in LA. And these pictures at Falls Lake are from the set that will be used for Pirates of the Caribbean 4.So, anyone know any information about it, if that backlot is inaccessible to the public who wants to try to see up close the filming?
                    thanks, Sofia

I dont know what the filming schedule is like.. I've never actually witnessed a living person on this Falls Lake set, crew or otherwise.. so who knows what their schedule is?! I was there today, and theyve got some big stuff in there. There's a huge crane in front of the backdrop, and some very large weird looking piece of equipment on the opposite end from the backdrop. I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow sometime.

Did you also see some movement there? As if they had already started filming?
Because, they will start filming today at Universal Studios with the cast including Johnny Depp:love:

I remember about 20 years ago USH doing evening tours and they were awesome. Definitely gives a different perspective. When I worked there, it was always fun to go out on the golf carts also at night. Lots of wildlife that comes out.
"And yes, we implore EVERYBODY to follow the park rules. Having off-ride footage is great, but any still photo's or video's taken ON the coasters at SFMM are strictly against the rules. They are there for your (and everybody's) safety." "Six Flags doesn't allow ANY loose articles on their coasters, and they don't allow video taping on their coasters. " BUT, " This is not true. Six Flags does not allow ANY On-Ride video or pictures on the rides. The ONLY way is if you get explicit permission from Park Management." ???
