Of course this won't happen, but wouldn't you love it if former Disney exec. Steve "the builder" Burke were in charge of Walt Disney World?

    Just writing "No" is lazy.

          No, and here's the reason:

Competition. Right now Universal's brawling with Disney and the end result is better parks for everyone. I'm near praying that the same happens in California.

Fighting for the tourist dollar means effort put with the profiteering.

What kind of ridiculous question is this? OF COURSE NOT! What answer did you expect from Disney fanatics on the ultimate DIsney fanatic message board? lol.

Now, would I like to see Steve Burke come back to Disney, and become the new CEO after Iger? OH HELL YES!!!
I would LOVE to see him back at Disney and use the same aggressive stance on building and expanding parks that he's had at Universal to take ALL the Disney parks to SOARING new heights.

Burke at the helm, and Bill Gates to bank roll him. That's what we need. Hahahaha :yea:

Universal has yet to acknowledge the power if themed entertainment as an independent medium. That acknowledgement created what remains as most of the best parts of Walt Disney World. Universal is infatuated with shoving in franchises far more than Disney.

True. And in my opinion Universal relies too heavily on simulator rides for their attractions involving several of the movies.

Some of this is footprint - in CA the percentage of ride vs. simulator is balanced more towards simulator mainly due to the small park size and the restricted footprints they've been allowing the new attractions to take.

What they are offering in recent years is definitely not all simulator based however. Transformers and Forbidden Journey (one both coasts, one soon to be) are hybrids using full moving ride vehicles and 360 degree sets combined with 3D movies. Other recent additions - mostly in FL - have been practical rides, from the heavily themed but still relatively off the shelf spinners of Springfield and the coming Super Silly Fun Land out west to the higher expense of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

I do believe that Uni could definitely benefit from less specifically IP-linked projects - but that's a general complaint for both Disney AND Uni of late.

Yeah but there's still always been quite a few simulator rides at Universal Studios Orlando, some have just replaced others. I just feel that having one, or maybe two is alright. But when there's more than that, even when it's just a part of the ride like in Harry Potter, it becomes over done. I say this because I've heard several people say they feel a bit nauseous when they get off these rides. Me included.

There are only two simulators in all of the Universal Orlando Resort: The Simpsons Ride and Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.

Jimmy Neutron was replaced by Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem last year.
