    Great story, Steve. While I'm sure it's not everyone's cup o' tea, I love to see how real people (like all the workers on these rebuilds) put their own form of love into these projects. Also good to see that some of this historic craftsmanship still exists. Too bad about the 2007 XO boiler plate, but I can see why Disney preferred the one dated 1894. Not accurate, but certainly more nostalgic.

      Dizzey, both the XO plate and the 1894 plate were used on the engine at the same time. Look for pictures in the next installment.

        Another Great Article Steve. Keep them coming. I have enjoyed every one of them. It really is a major part of Disney and Disnyland history.
