  • Red Carpet- Who Was a Big Hit? And Who Should Have Stayed Home?

I thought that the Oscar Fashions deserved their own thread.

Who was your pick for Best Dressed Woman?

    Best Dressed Man?

    Worst Dressed Woman?

    Worst Dressed Man?

    Best Hair?

    Best Make- up?

    Best Jewelry?

Or whatever other catergory you'd like to add?

None of them matter except Make-up.

      Best Dressed Woman?
There is no way I could pick just one for this category. I thought most everyone was really on par this year.
I loved Reese's dress- full ball gown style and floral patterned gems all over was just beautiful.
Salma Hayek looked stunning. I loved the unusual neckline with the wrapped fabric and the color was so beautiful- electric blue I think.
Nicole Kidman was fabulous as always. She is so statuesque.
I have to say my favorite may have been Felicity Huffman. She looked amazing. I mean- that woman is in her 40's and those things were still standing on their own! Also her hair was my second favorite behind Jessica Alba.

      Best Dressed Man?
I thought Ludacris looked really sharp in all black.
Also- Someone was wearing a navy blue tux with a powder blue tie. I thought that looked really nice- but I forgot who it was!

      Worst Dressed Woman?
So far Helena Bonham Carter. Blue Dress, white Shoes, red purse. I wear red white and blue on the Fourth of July- but not on the red carpet.(not that I've ever been on the red carpet)

      Worst Dressed Man?
      Got nothin yet.

      Best Hair?
I loved Jessica Alba's hair. It looked so beautiful.

      Best Make- up?
So far- Amy Adams. I love red heads and I love when they do their make up so that it really compliments the hair color. She had brown smoky eyes and shiny red lips. Very pretty.

      Best Jewelry?
I loved Keira Knightly's necklace. It didn't look like much until they showed it up close and it was gorgeous.

I know I have missed some people, so my opinion may change after I see more pictures from the red carpet.

        :lmao: That was funny!

I love the red carpet and the fashion. It is my favorite part of the whole thing!

I forgot- add Naomi Watts to my worst dressed list! She usually is a red carpet winner- but she totally flopped tonight IMHO.

You cant ignore the big black thing on Charlize's shoulder. Sheesh, it was bigger than her head!

Yes, that was a giant mistake done by her stylist. I doubt they'll be working for her next time she's out at an awards show.

I didn't like Naomi's dress either. Someone in another thread mentioned she was trying to compete with the Corpse Bride.

As for all the others, I'll have to wait until I get my People magazine so I can fully examine on all the hits and misses.

Best Dressed Woman is tough. Jennifer Garner and Keira Knightley contend for it to me. I didn't like Keira's necklace or hair color and Jen was a still a little big after her baby but they were both amazing and the two best to me.
Best Dressed Man was George Clooney. Classic and he is just becoming huge, he seems to be so popular at all of these events.
The worst dressed were the couple Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton. Their clothes were ok, but both of them had abominations for hair.
