    'Pirates' sails away with $132 mil

    'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest'
    grossed an astounding $132 million.

    Mouse movie squashes 'Spider-Man'
    Disney sailed away with the box office record this weekend and it wasn't even close. "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" grossed an astounding $132 million for the frame, according to studio estimates. That's a full $17 million ahead of the previous record set by "Spider-Man" in 2002.

      Back on topic, wonderful! Now lets see if we can make a dent in that $600million Disney spent on the two films! Thats $300million this film has to make to claim the money it used up back.

      But what a wonderful achievement for Disney!

            WOW, 132 million. I was excpectiong about 120 million. Now lets all hope that people stick with this movie and it keeps making money. I bet the third one will break the record again... just look how the 2nd one left you hanging.

                The numbers look good, but adjusted for inflation the gap closed to $10 million
