I think it's hilarious! My mom and I are both like "Oh geez another reality voting series?" But we're always like that, then watch it one time and become addicted. I think it looks pretty good, very different from things done before. At least unlike American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, we know these people will have talent to be auditioning for Broadway.

My mom and I are planning on watching. We saw a commercial for it when we went to the movies. Grease is one of our favorite movies, so we're interested to see how this goes.

I'll watch a few times and probably the finale, but they're kinda just ripping the idea of finding a Maria for a Sound of Music Revival (in London I believe) so that bums me out a bit, but I like this premise a whole hell of a lot more then American Idol *shudder*

Yeah, I can't stand the dance/sing/Apprentice America votes shows.

But we're planning to watch this one.

My kids love Grease as much as I do, and they love musical theater, so it's a great fit for us. I probably will be in and out of the room while it's on (only so much I can take!), but the kids are SO excited for it. It's all they talked about over winter break!

Reality TV. Why we have no life at our home. Any time, any where they set up a camera, we'll sit for an hour, transfixed, as though we cared. We do enjoy yelling at the TV, though.

Not necessarily. There's probably some people who truly believe that they are talented and yet are very sadly mistaken.

Yup. They did it in London to find a Maria. Of course all these reality talent shows seem to start in London. I've heard Andrew Loyd Webber wants to use the same concept to find a new Joseph as well. I have yet to decide if I will tune in for the Grease show.

If it were a different musical I might be more excited, but I'm one of the few who just can't stand the musical Grease. There's just something about it that I can't stand. And this is coming from a theater teacher and drama club advisor.

FYI - You can view the last episode of all NBC shows online the next day after they air. I just watched episode 3 of this show since I was working on Sunday.

I'm not exactly into these shows, but I do watch them when they are on from time to time.

However, I am not officially hooked to this show. Why you may ask - because of Laura Osnes! I went to high school with her and have seen her in many show throughout the years. She has always wanted to perform, she is amazing at it and the best part of it all is that she does NOT carry the ego around with her!

She can be seen in the third episode quite often and has made the cut to the top six. I am very excited for her as I've always known she has amazing talent! I hope that you join me in supporting her and I can't wait for the next episode on Sunday! :cgrin:

I really didn't think we would get hooked by this one, but we tuned in and saw Austin Miller, who we saw in the roll of Link in the Las Vegas production of Hairspray. He is an amazing actor, singer, and dancer. His performance was spot on perfect. Not a note out of key, not a dance step missed. Don't know how he'll do here, but this kid has a career in the offing, for sure.
