  • Can they still be "Friends" on the silverscreen?

Hey folks rumor mill is in full swing today, rumors are a float that despite some akward post- Friend's success, a few cast members are circling the troops for a "Friends" big screen comedy. David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston have both expressed interest and are already claimed to be on board with hopes that the other fantastic four-some will join soon there after.
No writer, director or other key players have been named, but expect Kaufman and Bright who created the series with Warner Bros to have some involvement.

What are your thoughts? Discuss amoungst yourselves!

There's a shock. It's not as if their dance cards are exactly full these days...

I'm guessing the DVD income is thinning out.

As is the overall acting talent of the cast!

I never liked this show. Not even a little. Every time I see Schwimmer I just hope someone is going to beat the snot out of him. I've never seen the big appeal of Aniston, and Cox only looked good until she went all anorexic. Ugh

Actually Schwimmer has been directing television left and right this year, including a few episodes of Joey.

I don't think the friends formula would work for 2 hours- a movie would be a huge mistake.

Just like the last 3 seasons of the show

Schwimmer also has Madagascar coming out shortly.

Aniston deserves some time off-screen. What with the whole Pitt/Jolie debacle. Like Kidman, Aniston got me in the breakup.

I'll put this in my "I'll believe it when I see it" file. They all (or Schwimmer and Perry at least) seemed pretty adamant about wanting to move away from those characters. I mean, the show's been barely off the air for a year. Even as a huge fan of the show, I'm a little skeptical.

Then again, I'd rather see this than a "Sex in the City" movie.

The show was great. I have most of the Friends season(s) dvd sets. A movie would work because its going to make gazillions. They are really funny and when grouped as an ensemble they are unstoppable

All I'm gonna say is if there's no Chandler, I'm not interested. Hee!
