Re: Worst Movie Idea of 2008: Stuck
i really dunno what to think after watching the trailer
i'm excited to see its by the director of Re-animator (which i consider to be a fantastic horror flick)...but this looks bad...bad bad bad, and tacky given the the sad real life events that "inspired" it

Furthermore, it doesn't look that bad. It seems to be heading more toward dark comedy with some social commentary under/overtones. I would hardly say it's the worst movie idea because it doesn't come across as taking itself seriously at all. If Shoot 'Em Up had taken itself seriously as opposed to aiming to be an outlandish film, it would have been different. I know that may seem completely unrelated, but it's the same concept.

Re: Worst Movie Idea of 2008: Stuck
This is the stupidest idea for a movie ever.
I was on a jury for a murder trial here in Orange County about 4 years ago involving a motorist who struck a bike rider on Orangewood Ave directly across the street from Angel Stadium. The victim, a 19 year old young man, crashed through the windshield and landed in the front passenger seat. The driver did not slow down or swerve to avoid the victim, and he did not stop to call 911 or take him to the nearest emergency room which would have been UCI only a couple miles away. Instead the driver drove about 20 minutes south to the 241 toll road and dumped his body in the median of the tollway. The Orange County Coroner determined that the cause of death was due to the victims right arm nearly being severed, and that it took about 20 minutes from impact for the victim to die. Basically the victim was alive at impact and his life slowly faded away as he was driven south, only to be dumped in the middle of the toll road. We found the driver guilty of murder and he is now in prison serving a sentence of 40 - 50 years (I can't remember the exact amount)
Yah. This movie sounds f***ing hilarious.
