            thank you for this!

            i'm a Danny Elfman fan.. and while i wouldn't call him my favorite composer, i do enjoy his scores.

            the sound that i really favor fall under those such as Hans Zimmer and Harry Gregson-Williams.

                after listening to the score in its entirety, i will have to say.. that other than the occasional "alice!" that the choir exclaims throughout as a recurring cue, the whole thing just kinda sounds like Elfman's take on the first Batman movie film score, which isn't a horrible thing. but a bit redundant.

                i miss his originality that he really put into his work like in Nightmare Before Christmas. the melodies that would get stuck in your head after watching the movie. granted, "alice" didn't have any musical numbers with lyrics, but even then. i had melodic (and non-lyric) cues stuck in my head after watching "nightmare"...
