I've heard that the fireworks game is the best way to earn a lot of points.
Do any of you have suggestions for other methods of earning points?

One of my favorite ways to earn credits is visit the NPC (Non playing characters) daily, I also like to play pirates at the lower levels as capture the flag may earn you a lot of credits if your good at it.
EX: 5,000 in one day of playing. -

Along with the NPC, do the street party music first - the rest next (I often stop to say hello on my way, pick up new items in stores, etc.) and then come back to street party for 25 more credits in 1/2 hour. You can get them every half hour, so if you aren't busy just leave and get them! lolComment

They are both right.
NPC and games get you alot of credits. Just get all your NPC, play your song and play every game at least once and win. You will surley get alot of credits. 
I Love Harvest Moon For The Gamecube!
Here is some cheats:
*Plug in a gamecube controller in the third slot and press start for 10,000 money! You can do this for as long you want. I got 2000000!
*Do the same thing except pres the up botton to get the alarm clock in the first chapter!
*Do the same thing but press 7 to get EVERYTHING in harvest moon without working for it. I didn't do this cause it's fun to earn your own items by growing them and buying them.
I also bought Harvest Moon: Magical Melody today! So far, its great!!!

I get AT LEAST 10,000 credits a day by..
1. getting ALL NPCs
2. Playing Music Game ( every fifteen minutes to half hour, you don't have to wait an hour )
last but not least..
the major credit getter..
FIREWORKS GAME!!! ( about 7-8 games should do the trick )
WARNING: You must be good at the game.. I get about 1,300 credits per game by..
the 300 credits are from getting to Level 5
the 1000 credits are from getting over 240,000 points but not winning
hope this helps! I discovered a hidden fireworks talent from practicing over and over - trust me, even if you're not good at the game now, it gets better - yes, the game is long, but it pays off!! :thumbup:

The music game on Main Street- you get 25 credits for creating a mix song and then another 25 for playing it
I'm a pirates fan too - just because it's usually quick and you can get a bunch of points
Currently, I'm back doing Haunted Mansion to win the blue crates. I also get a lot of credits from it - but I just takes a little longersigpic

You may re-play the music game about once each 20-30 minutes and get another 25 points.Originally posted by BFJen

I get all the NPC's and I play fireworks and piartes and sometimes haunted mansion each day. I also go to the music game in between every couple games.:love:Comment

I found out today if you play a song 50 times you don't get the normal 25 points, you get 375. I was shocked when I got that message
