Walt Disney on the game show What's My Line?

Awesome and funny. Though note how he has trouble signing his name in, one presumes, the "approved" way.

I have enjoyed watching the reruns on GSN over the years, and remember seeing Walt's visit from the mid-to-late-50's.

Since John Daly was a newsman for ABC, I'm assuming this was when Walt was still there as well.

I love What's My Line (which was on CBS for 17 years on Sunday nights)!

How about Bennett Cerf, asking if Tom Sawyer's Island, and the new "chair lift" had been completed.

A much younger Jerry Lewis, then as now championing the cause against muscular dystrophy.

Arlene Francis - one of the great ladies of the stage in her day...

And, of course, Dorothy Kilgallen - a Broadway columnist, who was found dead in her own bed several years later...ruled a suicide, but there have been stories over the years that she might have been snooping a bit too much into the Kennedy assassination.

Daly later was the director of the Voice of America for many years.

But the hero of this piece is Walt himself. Nice find Mojave!
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

        Outstanding post Mojave!

That show was broadcast November 11, 1956.

Watching it, it's both exciting and saddening to think about the 10 years he had left -- and all that would achieved in that short time.

Disney may have finally found the grail. You don't need
imagination or art. All you need is a brand."

Simply amazing. Not to mention hearing Walt say a few words about Disneyland was breathtaking.

Here's to you Walt Disney, and everything you've given us.

I remember going to the taping of what was going to be a comeback What's My Line in 2000. Had Milton Berle, Wolfgang Puck, and others as the guests, but it was the most boring thing I've ever sat through, and everyone knew it, and that's probably why it never aired heh.
