I watched it on Tuesday night at 8 PM on ABC.

"It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown!", and was teamed up with the Charlie Brown All Stars to make an hour program that led into the Dancing with the Stars Results Show.

That's ABC's M.O. with all the Peanuts shows these days...first the classic episode and then a new, or relatively new, half hour.

As you may recall, I am a fan of Vince Guaraldi, who wrote and performed the original music...David Benoit has carried the legend for the newer shows.

Actually, the Easter Special was from 1974

The All-Stars was from 1969, and you could tell the difference in styles.

So in this case, the newer one was first.

I thought they were both good. We have them recorded and will probably watch them at least once more before Sunday.

Easter Beagle, I'm gonna have to see if they have that on Netflix and add it to queue. Thanks.

I love the Easter Beagle. It features a lot of classic Peanuts moments. You have Woodstock with Snoopy. Peppermint Patty and Marcy, Snoopy kissing Lucy, Charlie Brown and his sister Sally shopping for Easter shoes. Linus insisting there is an Easter Beagle, and Snoopy making sure it all turns out O.K. in the end. My favorite parts of course, are all the different ways that Marcy doesn't correctly color Easter Eggs.

I have it on VHS tape, and someday I should update my Charlie Brown VHS tapes to DVD's.
