  • Top Gun Director Tony Scott reportedly commits suicide at age 68

Days of Thunder was one of the films that made the directors career. This represented the begining of Nicole Kidman's career as well; and gave Tom Cruise a great big bump when his carreer was just taking off. Tom gave some graceful word of admiration and appreciation for the master of theater arts. Tom speaks for us all in stating that the artful, great Mr. Scott will be missed.

Re: Top Gun Director Tony Scott (w/ iBrain Cancer) Jumps LA Bridge and Dies

    ^title might need some editing.

Deadline Hollywood is quoting Mr. Scott's widow Donna that he did not have brain cancer. That information was supplied by an unnamed source supposedly close to the late director.

Mr. Scott reportedly spent part of Friday with Tom Cruise and some associates at a naval base doing some early 'Top Gun' sequel research. The film had reportedly been fast-tracked by Paramount Pictures with a writer attached as well as original producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Thanks for letting me know about tthe misinformation out there regarding the brain cancer. This leaves us clueless as to what caused this wonderfulman to take his own life, It is great that he and Tom Crues shared a close relationship.
