Have you ever made a promise to yourself that you are never going to interfere again in somebody else's buisness? You really mean it at the time. Sometimes it means that that other person has hurt your feelings. You may walk away with a lump in your throat, and tears in your eyes. Sometimes, it's just a reality that perhaps you have just been too honest. Or there's a feeling of futility. Or you come away just feeling totally unappreciated. Sometimes this feeling will lessen over time, and you slip back into old habits, and end up making the same mistakes. Sometimes you learn, and you think before you speak, or act, and are able to keep the promise made to yourself. We put up walls for reasons. We tear them down again for different reasons.
