Since our last post we have been flying at full speed with the project. Tyler G. and I took an evening cruise around the neighborhood with our newest passenger. After spooking some local shopping center security (it's like he had never seen a bright yellow truck idling through the parking lot) we visited a few old friends who were rather excited to see the near complete truck parked in front of their houses.

We are still working on finding the proper materials for the rooftop rocket. As of now we have a solid plan but lack the machinery to go through with. Next week we will probably take a quick trip to LA to talk to some friends of friends about their fiberglass knowhow. It may sound like we are taking our sweet time with the rocket but we're making absolutely sure that it's up to par with the rest of the truck. It'll be the final light up rocket shaped cherry on top of this cake on wheels.

Awkward analogies aside, we have one more announcement for today. If anyone is going to be in the Anaheim area (specifically Disneyland) this Friday evening a few member of the crew are going to attend Dapper Day at Disneyland Fall 2011 "An Evening Affair". For those who have not heard about this event it is a tribute of sorts to the original concept sketches of the parks with guests attending in their Sunday best. So, it's your chance to throw on some snazzy threads and get to the park. It's a two part event where the first meet up will be at King Arthur's Carousel at 8PM for "The Dapper Derby" while the second will be at 11:30 at Trader Sam's for some "After Dapper Drinks". We plan on rolling to the parks in the near complete truck, so if anyone would like to the see the truck before we finish up here's your chance. We plan on parking in the Mickey and Friends parking structure when we initially go into the park and moving the truck to the Downtown Disney lot when we head to Trader Sam's. We just might have a few things to hand out to those who make the trip. Hope to see some of you there.
