  • WDCC Pieces appearing in Marshalls... again?

Made a trip to my local Marshall's today after hearing reports of disney precious moments figurines appearing there. To my surprise I didn't find any precious moments, but two WDCC pieces. I asked around, and of course the staff knew nothing (this is marshalls afterall) but the pieces were "Silly Ole Bear" and an elizabeth swann piece that I did not see least year when disney released pieces. Also, they were not discounted further from Marshalls prices ($35 and $99), which leads me to believe that they were recently shipped to the store.

It might be worth a trip to your local store to check things out... and please post your findings here!!

That is exactly where I was headed as well. I'll try something in Orange County tomorrow.

I saw nothing locally. I will keep a eye open though.

Just checked another local Marshall's and found the Snow White Holiday Princess piece. I also noticed that there were none of the obnoxious "DISNEY COLLECTABLE" stickers on any of these boxes. However, I think some of the holiday princess pieces were released last year. Does anyone know if snow white was one of them? I'm wondering if these might be left overs for some reason? But I don't know why they'd be just in stores after over a year since they were available.

Mind if you tell us what region you're in?

Re: WDCC Pieces appearing in Marshalls... again?

So far I found 3 of the Small World ornaments (Cowboy, France and Mexico)

The entire Pirates of the Caribbean set (movie) and Sword In The Stone Arthur "Seizing Destiny".

The pirate figures were $99 each (not a bad price honestly) Arthur was $49 and the Small World figures were $2.50. This was all found by going to 4 local stores today. Some had none, some had a couple.

If anyone wants one of these, if you paypal me the cost of the figure plus the shipping, I can pick it up and mail it to ya.

I should note that the price tags state (past season item) So I THINK these may have been items in the warehouse that just didn't make it out last year. I wouldn't expect to find tons of these showing up in stores.

Hey Epcot2000, I just e-mailed ya back. I'll see what I can find!

Also, you mentioned the Precious Moments figures.. The stores I hit yesterday did have some of those! Little Mermaid, Baloo, Cinderella and I think one more, but I can't remember which one... maybe it was Snow White? They were $16.99 each. Though I liked the Baloo, I didn't pick it up. The only one of those I want is the little boy with Roo, for my husband. heh

Re: WDCC Pieces appearing in Marshalls... again?

Before I totally forget, our local Good Will got in some WDCC figures. They arrived new in box, but the manager removed them from the box, tossed the box and put them in the display case. They have one Pluto from the Delivery Boy and three brooms from Fantasia. They are either $11.99 each or $14.99 each.. though they don't have their boxes, they still have their COA and are in mint condition. Back in mid Nov, another local thrift store received hundreds of WDCC figures new in box. I think they may have come from a store that went out of business. They were older figures as well.. I came in about a week after they arrived and they still had three full shelves of them still in boxes. I got..

                          Cinderella:
                          Lucifer
                          Cinderella dress book
                          The mice
                          Bruno

                          Fantasia:
                          pink/red centaurette
                          a broom
                          Sorcerer Mickey
                          flight of fancy

The older Three Little Pigs set

And a WHOLE bunch of title scrolls.

                          Horace Horsecollar with trumpet

                          Donald and Daisy dancing

Huey, Dewey and Louie from Mr. Duck Steps Out

                          Owl from Bambi

I'm sure by being a week late (I usually stop by the thrift stores daily, but was in Disneyland for my B-day) I missed out on a bunch of others that were sold and probably ended up on eBay. The cashier told me some woman came in the day after they arrived and bought three shopping carts full.. $10 says they ended up on eBay.

If anyone needs the brooms or Pluto, I can stop and grab 'em.

Made another trip to Marshalls today... couldn't resist, it was right next to panera! And boy was I glad I did... I snagged the Irish its a small world piece (without box or CoA) for $10. It was the only piece they had, but man was it great because It was one of the pieces I couldn't find last year! I guess they are getting them in as was said from "past seasons"... aka 1 or 2 if any at a time.

                            Good Luck everyone!
