Okay.... since the boyfriend is out of town this weekend, I had a chance tonight to get my photos uploaded.
Duffy leads such a hard life...
Finally it was 1:00am and the event was over. DHS was packed during the event (though I think a lot of people left after the fireworks). But I didn't want to deal with traffic, so we waited it out for awhile, just sitting on a bench and relaxing (my feet/legs were killing me). Finally around 1:30 I headed out.
Bye DHS! It was crazy but fun!
And that was out trip!
Great pictures & trip report Amy! We left around 1:30 too!
Love the pics, aimster! We left DHS that night around 11pm. I had to work the next morning. Shellie May dressed in her Maleficent costume, but unfortunately, it was so crowded, I never took her out. I really wanted a pic of her with Maleficent too!
Duffy was securely in my arms the whole time at DHS (plus didn't want to add anymore additional weight to my already heavy backpack, which was making a dent in my shoulder). Sandrita & I saw at least one other Duffy in the crowd while waiting for the show to start. We were all holding up our bears and making them dance to the music the DJ was spinning. It turned into mayhem as I saw other people hold up other stuffed animals as well (saw 2 or 3 girls behind us having fun with a Cheshire Cat plush that had a long tail). It was almost a stuffies dance party!
So Duffy is pretty much living in his Sulley costume right now (he loves it) and Shellie May was feeling left out. She wanted to dress as a character too! So....
I put her in the mad Hatter costume and girlied it up by adding a skirt and one of her ear bows. Ended up turning out really cute!
Oh my gosh Shellie looks adorable as The Mad Hatter! And Duffy is looking very sweet and cuddly in his fuzzy Sulley costume. Did you have the sleeves of his jacket altered? I remember something about the sleeves being too long for Duffys since the jacket was meant to be worn by the BaB Sulley. It looks great!

Sandrita was kind enough to fix the jacket for me like she fixed the one for her Duffy. I was going to have my aunt do it, but she isn't returning to her sewing anytime soon as she's still dealing with my uncle dying suddenly at the beginning of summer and her own health issues.
Jumbo Duffy and Jumbo Shellie look more and more like an old married couple, except for the fact that Jumbo Shellie is completely oblivious of Jumbo Duffy crunching on her.
Duffy in a Walt Disney World Engineer Outfit and Shellie May in a Disneyland Engineer Outfit (too bad the only difference is the logo on the cap). Now to find a train to take control of!
Duffy and Shellie May dressed up in their British outfits for the arrival of my sister this Saturday (the one and only sister I have – who they met in Chicago in March, and Duffy was the cat whisperer to her pet).
My sister loves everything British, especially as it relates to London .
Shellie May enjoyed her tea party with Sweet Sister earlier this year with the lemon curd my sister got from Harrod’s.
Shellie May especially is totally psyched. My sister will be here for 9 days, sleeping in the guest bedroom where all my bears are.
“Geez, Shellie May, she’s not coming until SATURDAY,” said Duffy, who was still lounging around in pajamas.
“I know. I want to make sure I’m ready,” replied Shellie May.
“You are such a girl,” said Duffy.
“That is certainly true,” said Shellie May with a smile on her face.
Duffy is already a little envious of Shellie May’s closet so he reluctantly went and got his British outfit on so as not to be outdone by Shellie May.
They posed and then decided if they were on the bed my sister would be more likely to interact with them, as she has to remove them before she can sleep. Shellie May took a forward stance; Duffy is just there ha ha. “Do you think she will invite us on the outings?” he asked. “Yeah, she’s not still embearassed to be seen in public with us is she? I want to go shopping, and I’m wearing my shopping British shirt just for her!”
Hmmm, time will tell.
Even Sweet Sister dressed up and is excited.
Meanwhile, Shaggy Duffy is the perfect size for cuddling and my sister took an interest in some pictures I sent of him. She’s softening up, that’s for sure. For a bear who has no clothes, he sure exudes personality.
I gave him a test cuddle. He enjoyed it but then when I left the room he decided to crawl under the covers. He was "done" and needed his "space".
This is from my September 21st trip to the Disneyland Resort:
(Disneyland Park)
(Disney California Adventure)
Near where Mickey was greeting his friends, I came across a group of Japanese Park Visitors with Duffy/ShellieMay merchandise on them, and I asked if I could take a picture:
Regular Series ShellieMay face pouch:
Duffy and ShellieMay jack-o-lanterns:
Cape Cod Halloween Parade plush badge:
Then, I stopped by to say hi to Duffy. While he was in his Pumpkin outfit, his greeting spot was the same without the Halloween Decorations.
I brought along my Duffy storybook with me for this visit and asked Duffy if he could sign his name inside, and happily agreed.
Sharing a kiss:
Inside Treasure's In Paradise, is the pressed penny machine. Use this machine to turn pennies into a keepsake.
I stopped by Donald's greeting spot and posed for photos:
Then I headed towards Buena Vista Street and said hi to Mickey:
Posing for photos at Cars Land:
And back to Treasure's In Paradise:
This was used for display, as the Sulley outfit was sold out.
This is Duffy's Greeting Spot before the Halloween overlay:
I requested this button by a Cast Member and asked them to write Duffy's name on it.
The inside of Duffy's storybook:
And that was my visit. What do you guys think?

Great pictures, MikkiMausu! I love seeing Japanese tourists in the park with all their TDS merch. I can't wait to debut my Halloween stuff at the parks this season.
Loved seeing those pictures, MikkiMausu! Having been there for a fantastic visit earlier this year, I now miss Disneyland Resort soooo much, especially as it's so far away and I don't know if I'll ever get back. Didn't think I would miss it this much, but I do!!
Woke up & can't get back to sleep so gonna post the photos I took Friday. We had an anipal/teddy Tweetup!
A bunch of us met up at our UK pal Tourguide Ted's vacation home in Haines City (about 20 minutes from WDW).
The bears had a good time hanging out and snacking.
Duffy and his buddy Jack (he's a friend of mine's service dog).
After hanging out and some fun in the pool (the bears floated around in a boat... sadly I forgot to take photos), it was time for the big scooter race between my Duffy, Sandrita's Duffy and Tourguide Ted.
The contestants!
Unfortunately the scooters were all on the same radio frequency, so just one remote control made all 3 scooters go. The result though was hilarious as the scooters were going all over the place and either bumping into each other or having narrow misses. We were all laughing so hard! :lmao:
We have video of the whole mess, but it needs to be combined and edited. I suggested it should be set to the Benny Hill theme music, which would make it even funnier.
Ted brought over some clothes from the UK Build A Bear (some things they don't have at the US stores or online). Shellie May picked this adorable school girl jumper.
Ted also had special teddy size t-shirts & bandannas made up for the tweetup. Sadly the one we took for Duffy was a little too snug (it fits a 12" Duffy perfectly though).
Sandrita & her friend left to go to Epcot and the rest of us went to DTD to meet up with more Twitter pals who were on vacation at WDW... Ellie and Edmond!
(by the way, Ellie is the elephant & Edmond is the horse)
Group shot in front of the big Mickey pumpkin!
We had dinner at Earl of Sandwich and had a good time talking and being silly.
