  • Has anyone seen this bear before?

While browsing Ebay for Duffy items, I came across something I've never seen or heard of before. Apparently the Disney Store released a Duffy-like bear of their own, named Edgar. I have no idea when this was released, but it's news to me.

He has Mickey marks on his feet, but they sure do look weird and not much like a pawprint. Other than that, he really looks like any other stuffed bear.

Here are some ebay auctions with Edgar the Disney bear...

That bear does look a little familiar to me. I might have seen it before, but I could just be thinking about other generic bears. Haha, his paws look very strange. Just 2 toes?
    Poor unfortunate Souls.

I was just at a Disney Store yesterday and didn't see him. He looks very generic.

Ia a recent release or is one of those pre Duffy Disney bears?

I agree that he does look very generic, I wish he could be in a different color like white or grey.

No. The pre-Duffy Disney Bears looked more like Duffy. This just looks like your everyday, run of the mill, generic teddy bear that you can buy at any Hallmark shop or Toys R Us.

Here are some photos of the original Disney Bear:

This one looks more like how Duffy looks now

This "Edgar" bear is not a Disney Bear, or Duffy, or even pre-Duffy. He's a completely new character created for the Disney Stores, but I have NO idea when he showed up and when he disappeared. From what I can tell, he's not for sale anymore. It's just something that came and went, I guess.

What's interesting is that it's a bit like Duffy with the Mickey paw prints, but these look really odd and not like actual paw prints of any animal I've seen. It's just the normal Mickey head with a circle above it...
