I have a rather large collection of Nightmare Before Christmas pins that I'm looking to sell, but I have no idea what the pins are worth. Does anyone know of a site I can go to so I can see what a fair market value for them is? Thanks.

Re: Pricing Pins
Although not completely accurate, if you search eBay for the pins you will get an idea as to what others are trying to sell the same pin for. You should really only consider auctions with bids that are close to ending. What I do is "watch" a couple auctions so that I can see the ending price. This will work if several of the pins are available. However, for very rare pins there might not be any listed, or only listings with high prices that have been sitting for along time.
Also, the price stuff sells for goes through cycles over time, so this process is only an estimate.
Remember the first rule of collectibles - an item is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

Re: Pricing Pins
You can also search on eBay for ended auctions and see what the average going price for specific pins is. But there can be a wide variance. I've seen the same exact pin go for large differences in price.

Re: Pricing Pins
I would then decide what you want for it, and try to sell it for that or just under that and see what happens.Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Re: Pricing Pins
It has been my experience one is going to find the majority of one's LE and Specials are not worth what one paid for them retail. Of 100pins, MAYBE 10% will realize appreciation upon sale.
Ebay is a superb place to unload unwanted pins. Start your listings at $.99ea w/ reasonable ($2.00shipping) and you're sure to make money. Not as much as you spent on them originally, but better than collecting dust in a closet somewhere, eh?Just countin' the days til the next visit!
