    Re: The Dee Bees

I'm going to create my own DeeBee. His name is Crap-EE.

(In all sincerity though, I appreciate that the design group is trying to diversify. But I'm not sure this one is a winner. It might be more successful if they helped build the brand with "hidden DeeBees" or something. Some kind of scavenger hunt, so the concept was more interactive.)

It's a sort of an attempt at 'creating' an artificial urban legend. Sort of like their attempt to create a viral video with that haunted mansion ghost thingy.

I'm gonna call it lame. :-)

    Re: The Dee Bees

I don't particularly get the premise of the DeeBees in general. We all know it's the Imagineers and storytellers at Disney who create the magic. That's part of what is so marvelous about the parks...that they come from the human imagination. So why dismiss that fact with a phony mythology about little creatures that make things happen. Sorry...I just don't get it.

(Btw...I don't collect Vinylmation, but at least I understand the concept and the potential appeal of vinyl collectables. That has been a huge collectable market for quite a while and it's wise that Disney has tapped that.)

    The Dee Bees

    What the heck?!?!
Disney Theme Park Merchandise has created mystery pin collections based on the myths and stories about the DeeBees. These limited release mystery collections contain 10 pins each. There are two randomly selected mystery pins per box. These collections present just one interpretation of these fun-loving creatures who love Disney Parks and Resorts.

The Discovery Series 01 mystery pin set was first introduced at the Disney Trading Activity on October 1, 2009 in Disney's Contemporary Resort.
