  • When Disney Cruise comes to the West Coast..

Will there be an island for the fleet like Castaway Cay? We are planning a Disney Cruise vacation and would like to know if there will be a private island it will stop at.

Also, when is the year that they will be coming to the West Coast?

Well Disney has a resort being built in Hawaii so I guess that would be there "west coast island".
I believe they will be coming to southern California starting summer 2011.

Unfortunately, I doubt there will be a "west-coast Castaway Cay." The Bahamas are abound with undeveloped islands which they will happily lease to companies or individuals... but the West Coast has very few islands, especially undeveloped ones. It is more likely that Disney will convert part of the largely undeveloped coastline of the Baja peninsula into their "private oasis." But that's just a guess, though.

And as the poster above said... the first ship arrives in 2011! :yea:
