  • Thoughts on doing a Disney Cruise solo

Going on a Disney Cruise in on my Disney bucket list. Now that I lie in south Florida it is a much more reachable goal. My friend and I wanted to go together, but now she is unable to come because of work. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience going on a Disney cruise alone? How was it? Any thoughts, insights, info, etc would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I haven't done a Disney cruise but on a cruise ship you will make plenty of friends. I've dined alone a few times with random other tables & it worked out great. I'm sure someone who's actually been on a Disney cruise can confirm if there are "singles only" meetups at a few bars or events. Royal Caribbean had plenty of them. It's always a bit more fun going with someone you know but that depends on your personality. Most families with teens & up end up doing their own activities the whole day besides dinner so a ship is a perfect place to be alone if it doesn't bother you. I can imagine Disney cruises hosting families with young ones more than any other cruise though so better to get a second opinion. Might be more difficult to meet up with new people if so. Sorry I wasn't able to help much.

I've done DCL solo before (and I would do it again). I had a lot of fun. I enjoyed my table-mates (and still keep in contact with one), and loved all the onboard activities. Plus, I've always been a sort-of loner, so this was perfect for me
