Great TR and that DVC property info was extremely helpful!

We've been to Hilton Head, but didn't bother to check out the DVC property because we didn't even know that it existed.

You cannot even see the Disney signs from the road. It is well hidden from view. They obviously want you to have to know where they are.

          Re: Hilton Head Trip Report/Photos

Most owners of a DVC realize that when they sell their ownership, due to Disney's Right of First Refusal, that the initial purchase price that was paid is usually returned. So, the true cost of vacationing is the maintenance and tax charges on the points used for a trip. A summer time vacation at Hilton Head for one week in a studio requires 118 points. M/T on 118 points are $5.16 per point for a total of $608. 7 nights devided by $608 is $86.85 per night. When you compare that to a rental at Hilton Head DVC or a rental at one of the "nicer" surrounding properties, it is a pretty good price for what you get. Just an opinion.

I was at the Hilton Head DVC property about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it.

Practically speaking, how was it being so far from the beach?
