  • [Question] school me on dvc rentals

i've been reading that this may be the way to go. still confused though! my family's next trip down is 12/26/10-01/3/11. we have 2 rooms booked at a/s sports. total is about $1250/room. first, are reserved rooms even cancellable? are dvc rooms even going to be available for that period, being such a high priority week? we also go feb school vacation week, but we will be cramming into one room for that one. just seems like a better deal for dec if we can get a 1 or 2 bdrm villa (no preference where) to put us all in if it would come up to less than $2500. also, is there a chat section where i could talk to people on here real-time, in order to get more info?

Are you just trying to book a room in a deluxe villa without being a DVC member? If so, all you have to do is go to Disneyworld.com and you can book any of the villas there. The most affordable villas are the one-room villas at The Bay Lake Towers and Kidani Village. These sleep six (two in a queen-size bed, two one a sleeper sofa, and one on a sleeper chair).
The website will immediately show the cost and the availability of a selected hotel. Hope this helps and if you have any more questions, just ask.

Be careful on the renting points thing from someone you do not know. DVC is starting to crack down on the practice and if you run into any issues don't expect DVC to help you out too much they are really trying to actively stop the practice of people buying DVC points just to resell or auction online.

You're much better off to call and book a package at the villas.

I'd recommend using David's Vacation Club Rentals.

You've save a lot of money compared to booking with Disney.
