  • [Question] Soundtrack on Space Mountain

    So...

Getting exicting now... My long planned trip to DLRP is nearly hear (leaving on Saturday). As I have desperate man-flu at the mo I am a bit worried about the logistics but Night Nurse is doing me proud.

But the question I have is "What are the chances that Space Mountain's soundtrack will be working?"

    Anyone with recent experiance?

It was working but quiet on both our trips this year (Aug and Oct).

I have ridden SM:MII four times in September and the soundtrack worked always very well.

The music works quite often now. The only problem is that it's usually very quiet, so much so that you have to really listen hard to hear it.

Only once (out of about 4 rides) did the music work loudly and clearly during my last visit in November.

The sad state of DLP's SM ride is quite disheartening.

Very hard to do when you have people screaming full volume.

                Re: Soundtrack on Space Mountain

The main problem is that the current sound system (same as Rock n Roller Coaster) doesn't really like the vibrations and roughness of the ride. The two solutions: smoothen the ride out (impossible without actually changing all the track!) or designing a new sound system that will be a lot resistant. That all cost lots of money DLP doesn't have...
